Dear Parent/Guardian:
Venice High School is pleased to announce SmartWeb as a tool for you to track your student’s attendance, grades, assignments, and homework. SmartWeb is a secure web-based program that allows you to be more involved with your student’s education.
You will find the link to log into SmartWeb on Venice High School’s web-site http://www.sarasotacountyschools.net/vhs. The Internet Explorer browser is necessary to access this website. You will also be prompted to load Java upon entering for the first time.
When you access this website, you will need to enter your User ID and Password.
To obtain your User ID and Password please do one of the following:
- Email your name, your student’s name(s) and ’07-’08 class (ex. 9th, 10th, etc.) to vhssmartweb@sarasota.k12.fl.us in the SUBJECT field please put Password, or
Your User ID and Password will be emailed to you.
Please do not share your password in order to maintain and insure a high level of security.
After gaining access to the site, you will find the format easy to follow. You will notice titled tabs on the top of the web page: Attendance, Grades, Assignments, and Homework. A mouse click on the title of the screen is all that is necessary for viewing.
Any fields that appear as buttons allow you to obtain information. By clicking on a teacher name, you have the ability to contact that person via e-mail. Notice, too, that you will have the ability to receive e-mails from the school.
Please make note that either your User Id or password may be different from last year. I encourage you to utilize this program on a regular basis.
